What is Shellac?
Shellac Nail Polish is a kind of nail polish that differs from other nail paints. It is a hybrid type that is half gel and half nail paint. The product patent is still pending but it is a new creation of Creative Nail Designs. A progressive and reputable nail care company.
What makes shellac nail polish different is it is cured by UV light or fan and it dries immediately after the manicure process. This quick drying period lessens the waiting period normally spend in manicure service. The UV light allows shellac paint to turn into something like a plasticized coating, which is best for long wear. It also gives a natural glossy look comparable to gel nail polish.
Although thin, it is strong enough to stand tough activities preventing damage and wear off and looks good from day 1 up to 14 days period.
Shellac is not best applied in damagaged nails, damanged nail beds, split or peeling nails. When applied to peeling nails, shellac will take off with it. It is also not recommended to those who want to create nail look.
Another good thing about shellac nail polish is removal does not leave nails dry, thin, and torn. IT gives extra protection for nails as sealed out moisture. It does not make use of drill, which is damaging to nails and cause nails to break. Shellac nail manicure on the other hang can only be done by well-trained manicurist and done in a parlor equipped with proper tools. Remove can be done at home.

After we opened Fox and Jane, we had an overwhelming response. From New York Times to Nylon Magazine. Over 75 five star reviews on Yelp to constant feedback from New Yorkers and Travelers alike. Everyone loved our concept for Fox and Jane and The Finishing Bar. But we realized that we couldn’t keep both running under one roof.
We decided that the Finishing Bar could no longer be contained. The demand for nail, waxing, and makeup services was growing. So with that we welcome the latest addition to the F & J family. The Finishing Bar!
