As usual, Zoya never fails to impress us with their metallic shades this season. Take for example, this pine green metallic polish and magic violet foil sparkle metallic polish.

This fall, we’ll be seeing more red hues like this crimson red metallic (also from Zoya).

Also in our radar are dark blue hues like this Egyptian blue metallic with a subtle sparkle from Zoya.

We also love OPI’s metallic for life black and silver glitter polish. The different sizes of the glitter made it stand out from its black base. Likewise, OPI’s DS Glow gives another life to an otherwise boring bronze shade.

Feel like an Olympic winner with OPI’s Glitzerland polish in glitter and gold. If you think you’re not bold enough to do metallics, think again. Just make sure that you don’t mix and match the colors, stick with one shade, and you’ll be alright. We have a wide array of Zoya and OPI nail polishes you can choose from. Look Beautiful With The Right Make-up

Foundation: This is probably one of the most overlooked part when doing your make-up. People who use the wrong foundation that doesn’t match their skin one and skin type should take note of this, some foundation can actually age you. Yes, medium to full coverage foundation sometimes define your fine lines which makes you look older than your actual age. The fix? Be sure to keep your skin hydrated and don’t skip on moisturizer. And go for moisturizer that stimulates collagen production and those that lightens dark spots.

Lipstick: As we age, our lips lose its suppleness and plumpness that it makes our lips thinner. Avoiding very dark colored lipstick is advised but that doens’t mean you can’t wear those burgundy and red lipsticks anymore. Instead, enjoy lipsticks by using those that are moisture rich and probably the glossy ones. But if you’re not ready to change your lipstick to something glossy, you can still wear a matte lipstick and just top it off with a little amount of lip gloss.

Concealer: Sure we’ve seen make-up boohoo’s and oftentimes, the suspect is a very light concealer that makes you look like having a racoon eyes, only, it is white. The problem with very light concealer, is instead of its primary effect that it conceals, it will make dark circles even more visible and it won’t match your faces’ skin tone. So opt for a tone lighter than your natural one and apply just the right amout. If you put on a little more, you’ll look ashy.

Blush: Blushers should make your face glow, not make you look like a red tomato or a clown just got out of circus. Like I’ve always said in my previous posts, apply a little amount of blush-on first and work you’re way from there. I love liquid cheek tints as they look more natural and not drying.

Have a Beautiful Hair Day, Everyday!

Having a beautiful hair day is easy, but letting it stay that way and making it last is what’s hard. Especially on hot, humid weather and during summer, achieving a manageable hair is hard. The scene is always, you go out of your house looking fab with your crowning glory and you go home like a hurrricane’s been through your workplace. How to fight the frizz and bad hair days? Here are some tips to stay as fabulous as if you just step out of your house.

Tip #1: I bet you’ve heard this a gazillion times in your life and yes, it really works, don’t use shampoo everyday. Using shampoo everyday strips off your hairs natural oils and it return, they become dry and frizzy. Give yourself a break and skip a shower, especially if you’re just staying at home. But for those who hase uncontrollable frizzy hair, it is advised that you apply conditioner everyday. Just apply them mid-hair up to the roots where the hair is usually very dry.

Tip #2: Dry your hair out! Yes, air dry is still the best but if you’re on a very tight schedule, use a blow-dryer. Just be sure to use the low-setting as too hot blow drying can cause more damage to your hair.

Tip #3: Use styling products that protects and repairs damage hairs. There are lots of hair products available in the market and choosing what suits your hair type is really hard. So go for the one that suits your need. If you have been dyeing your hair, buy products for color treated hair, if your hair is dry and damaged, but hair repair products and if you’re going to the beach or you’ll be out in the sun, don’t forget to apply sunscreen to your hair.

Now, there’s no excuse of having a bad hair day, girl!

Fitness Tips: Get Fit and Fab

Morning Workout, Afternoon Workout or Night Workout? Which one is the best?

Growth-related hormones are higher in the morning and it is no question that working out jumpstarts your metabolism but then again, human strength is at its best on the afternoon according to the circadian rhythms. So for morning workouts, stress levels are low so you are expected to workout harder. Afternoon workouts will help burn off food and stress. Night workouts on the other hand has the same effect like that of afteernoon workouts but your strength is not in its optimal state and it would be very exhausting for working people especially after a very long day. Can’t decide between the three? Choose the one that suits you and your lifestyle the best.

Stretching Exercise: Before or After Workout?

People tend to do one stretching session only and that’s it. But you should take note that both are important in every workout session. Warm up and stretching exercises before a workout can create joint stability while stretching after a workout will help your muscles be more flexible and prevents them from getting too tight. Doing stretching exercises before and after a workout can save your muscles from aching too much.

Fat burning: Running or Lifting Weights?

Here’s the sitch, both of them burns fat, but then they have different ways of burning them. Running and cardio exercises directly burns fat as it is used to fuel your body while lifting weights helps your muscles more fit (muscles are the only part in your body that uses fat for energy even for doing nothing) which means, it burns fat indirectly that it can burn them even while you are resting.

The Truth Between Protein and Muscle Building

I know all of us know that protein helps rebuild muscle tissues but I know all of us know that too much of something is bad enough. Our body has its limits and digestion of protein is one of them. Ingesting too much protein can often add fat to your body so before you overload yourself from protein, think about this first.
