With winter fast approaching and the colder breeze coming in this fall, we all need a staple cover for that extra warmth. Of course, it can’t just be any cover…it has to go with the rest of your wardrobe as well. Here are some cover-worthy items from our friends at NET-A-PORTER.

Jason Wu’s embellished cape speaks of opulence and classic elegance but sadly, the oval shape doesn’t sit well with all body types.

I like the Emilio Pucci wool cape for its color and jet set styling. Knit wear has never been this glamorous!

Aside from the chartreuse color, this Alice+Olivia double breasted wool-blend cape gives us a fresh silhouette.

Burberry Brit’s knitted wool-blend cardi coat blends the knit well with the classic coat. Wear it with muted colors for a full effect.

Clutch To Me: Fall Collector Clutches

Once in a while, a girl’s gotta indulge in a runway worthy clutch. Some of these collectors clutches from net-a-porter are a bit pricey but definitely worth a second look:

Matthew Williamson’s embellished suede clutch is adorned with beads and crystals that’s made for royalty.

Anya Hindmarch’s shiny LED-lit glitter clutch is a show stopper in dark purple and black.

Grandma’s lady like lace got a boost from Stella McCartney by pairing it up with a gold chain.

Indulge in YSL’s Opera leopard-jacquard clutch by pairing it with a simple cocktail dress and achieve a classic elegant look.

Work the gold trend with Diane Von Furstenberg’s Carolina lips-embellished satin clutch and show your playful yet seductive side.

No, it’s not a domino but a clutch by Charlotte Olympia that’s so fun and quirky. Talk about thinking outside the box, it’s one clutch that you want to keep in your closet.

One of my favorite luxury brands, LANVIN came out with this glossed and painted wood piano clutch. Another surprise clutch this season, this tiny box retails for more than a thousand bucks a piece.

Always opulent and grandiose, Alexander McQueen’s Unicorn Skull embroidered satin box clutch is a sight to behold. Use it for special occasions and pair it with your most elegant frock.

There are many more note worthy clutches that are out there so I hope you got inspired to get one for yourself!

Chic DIY Halloween Nail Art

Dubbed by many as the ‘best’ holiday, halloween has always been something to look forward to not just for kids but for many adults as well. So, for some chic halloween nail art, I turned to my favorite fashion website, R29 to help me with some kick ass halloween nail art.

Eyeball Nails - The white spots will definitely stand out from the black back ground. You just need black polish, white polish, and a thin brush to create the look.

Step 1: Paint your nails black and then draw three crescents using the white polish.

Step 2: Fill the crescents but leave a gap in the middle to create an eye effect.

It looks creepy from a far but isn’t that what halloween is all about? (You have to admit, it’s scary but chic!)

Bright and bombastic, this Frankenails will surely brighten any gloomy winter day. Begin by using two different shades of green.

Mix up the colors by applying the polish in different directions. You can do it diagonal, horizontal, or vertical.

Use a black polish pen to separate the two polish colors and create ‘hatchmarks’ for that stitch effect.

Voila! You now have some really cute Frankenstein inspired nails. Use darker green polish if you want for your nails to look less ‘cartoon-ish’.

Bloodsplattered nails are my favorite so far. You can create this beautiful mess by using blood red polish and white basecoat.

Prepare to tape your nails and then put the white basecoat.

Tip the end of the straw with the red nail polish and blow the other end. It’s gonna get messy so be sure to get ready with some cleaning stuff.

Halloween is just around the corner! Give your nails some extra boost by doing any of these three easy halloween nail art.

Fall Runway On Your Nails by OPI

Many of us dream of wearing stuff from the runway but we all know it’s easier said than done. Thankfully, there’s OPI and R29 to make things easier by getting inspiration from the runway straight to your nails. Here are some of our favorites:

Taupe is all about classic elegance and even royalty when combined with lavender. OPI’s Berlin There Done That over German-icure Burgundy is anything but boring.

Fierce and fabulous, the red orange hue also dominated the runways this year. Deutsch You Want Me Baby is a perfect color inspired by the runway.

Take out the deep purple outfits in your closet for it’s the season to wear them. Try OPI’s Every Month Is Oktoberfest and pair it with some white pantsuit.

Any shade of gray this fall is acceptable but what’s hot this season is some gray with olive hints called gunmetal. Luckily, we have OPI’s Nein Nein Nein OK Fine to try on our nails. Feel sexy and powerful wearing this shade.

Chartreuse or lime yellow is a break from the dark colours of fall and obviously, it’s also R29′s favorite. Paving the way for this color is also my favorite designer, Diane Von Furstenberg. Try OPI’s Don’t Talk Bach To Me and get a bit of pop into your wardrobe.

Shiny and dramatic this season, the royal blue stands out from the rest of the shades this season. The dark hue is perfect for winter so don’t forget to try OPI’s Unfor-greta-bly Blue.

I have a soft spot for dark nail polish colors so it’s obvious that fall is my favorite season. I hope you got inspired today!

Hot Polish Shades From Indie Brands

Just when we thought we’ve seen all the shades this fall, three independent brands came out with even more delightful colours this season. R29 gives us a peek:

RGB’s three piece collection has me drooling over the cobalt blue shade. R29 on the other hand is gaga over the gun metal shade. Glimmering copper reminds me so much of fall.

The different shades of brown from  Le Métier de Beauté puts a spin to an otherwise boring nude shade.

Julep’s nine shade collection may seem a lot but for those who have extensive wardrobes and want to match it with their polish, this is worth a try.

They may come in small bottles, but sephora by OPI’s spice market offers choices for the mani-holic.

Limited edition. That says it all for this 5 piece Marilyn Monroe collection consisting of classic fall colors like deep wine and dark berry.

Must Try New Accessories

No outfit can be complete with out having some sort of accessory. Accessories are go-to items that give an extra oomph to your wardrobe. So why not try some of these accessories and pair it with your outfit today? R29 gives us some must try new accessories this fall.

BODY HARNESS ACCESSORY  - body harness perfectly complements any girl’s outfit and gives it that oh so subtle fetish wear look (some are courtesy of and perhaps inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey). I have to say though that this accessory can’t be pulled off just by anyone. Real confidence and guts are needed for this one.

LAYERED PLATFORMS -  Whether stacked or graphic heavy, layered platforms puts a new spin to wearing shoes. Careful though, too much print or hullabaloo in your pair can make it a costume accessory. Chunky heels and simple straps can do the trick says R29.

SUPER HERO BELTS - Wide belts put emphasis and cinches the waist area. The trendiest looking belts are metallic with some hints of hard ware. Don’t pair this accessory with the double bangles to avoid looking like you’re from the circus.

Use any of these accessories to put a new twist to an otherwise boring outfit. Enjoy your day!

Kelly Osbourne's Diamond Nails

If you’ve ever complained of expensive manis and pedis, I hope you’ve seen Kelly Osbourne’s $250k manicure at the Emmy’s. Wondering about the steep price? It’s because the polish used were really made from black diamonds. The nail polish brand Azature manufactured one bottle and allowed Kelly to wear these at the awards show.

Sources say, the really pricey nail polish bottle had to be kept safe at her hotel room. NO, She is not sorry about wearing the insanely expensive polish because she was just chosen to wear it. She didn’t actually pay for it. So for those who have been offended, well, I think that  it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that she just had to take. After all, a girl’s gotta have her manis done (whether it’s expensive or not).

So for those of us who can’t really afford the manicure Kelly just had, there’s a loooong wait list for the uber expensive bottle but a $25 version of it will eventually come out in the market.

$25 for a bottle of nail polish can still be too pricey for most women. You can just get the Sally Hansen at a fraction of the cost of an Azature bottle. Similarly, Butter London has Gobsmacked, also a great alternative.

Hollywood's Best Hair Change-rs

Changing up how you look can sometimes be liberating and you can choose to change your clothes or make-up but so far, we’ve seen that just by changing your hair alone can do a lot wonders for your image. Take it from celebrities who have proven time and again that a ‘do’ can make or break you in hollywood. So, here are the best celebs who’ve mastered the art of changing the hairdo.

Yes, I know she has the vocal prowess and abilities (and some might say she has it all) but I think you and I know that when it comes to her mane, we also salute her. Beyonce’s ever changing looks from big hair to sleek ‘dos keeps things interesting for her.

Serena, errr..Blake Lively is not just famous for being Mrs. Reynolds, she’s also known for being open to trying different hairstyles which compliment her looks.

This girl is not just famous for her exceptional performances, her do is as important to her fans as her songs. I just have to commend this girl for braving different (sometimes radical) hairstyles and yes, hair colors!

She has one of the most captivating faces in hollywood and this was even brought to our attention when she starred in the hit movie, V for Vendetta where we saw her don a bald look. I personally think she (along with Demi Moore) one of the few gifted ones that can pull off such a look.

Well, I think that she’s been able to capture our hairdo imaginations with the different styles she’s worn for Sex and the City but really, SJP is not afraid to touch her hair and put a new twist to it every now and then.

I know it’s your crowning glory so you’re protective of it but your hair can do so much for your look. If you feel hesitant about changing it up, talk things over with your hairdresser. You can make the change in phases or steps until you feel ready to take a big hairdo leap.
