For this season, I would recommend the yellow base with pink starfish design, it looks fun and bright, perfect for Spring! Although the other four is as great as the first one too. You can swap the colors from like basic colors to neon  or other bright colors for that extra happy vibe!

Facials are not that important, you can skip it if you want to. True they make your skin beautiful, but only after a day or two after you get a facial. Be sure to choose the right facial for you though, people with oily face and those who are acne proned should choose facials that uses water based products.

Would you believe that drinking milk can cause your skin to breakout than eating oily foods or chocolates? Yes ladies and gentlemen! Oily foods may not be good for your body but they don’t really make your face be prone to pimples, sometimes it’s that glass of milk you always drink that’s the culprit!

Did you know that SPF 15, 30 and 60 are almost the same? Yes ladies, I just knew this also as I always believed that the higher the SPF, the more I am protected, partly true though but doesn’t make much of a difference. The numbers after sun protector factor are actually the time you spend more time exposed in the sun, but the potency of the sunscreens just varies for about 4%-6%. Well, whatever number it is, reapplying is the key, especially when you are out long!

Using more day creams and night creams may sound healthy but it also depends on your skin type. I myself have learned this the hard way. I tried a thick moisturizer that claims to make my pores smaller (I have oily skin type) and control oil but I end up having very oily face and acne! It clogged my pores of too much moisturization. So if you have oily skin like mine, gel moisturizers that are water based is a good option.

2. Drink Green Tea! Now it doesn’t take much to know how awesome green tea is. It is good for your body and it is surely good for your skin. It eases out redness, especially if you put green tea into ice tray and when they are frozen, you can rub them on your face in the morning. But drinking green tea is very healthy also. Try drinking green tea every morning and night for a week, you’ll look and feel great!

3.Drink Natural Fresh Juice! Whatever is your favorite fruit and vegeteables, juice it up! Organic fruits and veggies is the best and if you can substitute one meal for a power fruit juice, I’m sure you will see some results. Celebrities sometimes do this juice cleanse where they just drink fresh juice and yes, it doesn’t just keep the weight down, but it keeps them healthy and good-looking!

4. Drink less dairy products! There’s not much really information here as to why milk can cause breakouts but it shows that people who drink milk, even organic or skimmed milk, have bigger chances of having breakout than those who do not. So before you drink that cup of milk before bed, you might want to skip that for a few days.

5. Drink Supplements! A lot of supplements are now available in the Pharmacy for a healthier skin. As I was doing grocery at a local store with drugstore inside, i came on the aisle for skin vitamins, I was amazed by how many available supplements there are. My favorite was the on that’s for stronger and healthier skin, hair and nails. Be careful in choosing though, always ask a Doctor first before popping a pill!

BODY HARNESS ACCESSORY  - body harness perfectly complements any girl’s outfit and gives it that oh so subtle fetish wear look (some are courtesy of and perhaps inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey). LAYERED PLATFORMS -  Whether stacked or graphic heavy, layered platforms puts a new spin to wearing shoes. Careful though, too much print or hullabaloo in your pair can make it a costume accessory. Chunky heels and simple straps can do the trick says R29.

SUPER HERO BELTS - Wide belts put emphasis and cinches the waist area. The trendiest looking belts are metallic with some hints of hard ware. Don’t pair this accessory with the double bangles to avoid looking like you’re from the circus.

Acne Prevention and Saving Your Skin

Those who are blessed to have perfect skin may not need to read on but for the rest of us who have battled acne at one point or another in different phases of our lives can actually learn a thing or two from Dr. Gross from an article by Taylor Barringer for my favorite go to guide, R29.

Acne scars are definitely a problem and Dr. Gross suggests that the solution to this problem is to preventing breakouts.  Treat the acne as soon as possible using products that contain anti-inflammatory properties such as retinol and vitamin c.

The good doctor suggests refraining from squeezing or popping your pimples to avoid inflammation.  If you have the budget, a non-invasive laser treatment can do wonders to remove existing scars.

Basking in the sun can easily damage your skin so it’s best to stock up on some kick-ass sunscreen.

DFF Enhancing Sun Protection SPF 30 is a hit among its users since the texture works like a tinted moisturizer and isn’t greasy at all. This product retails for about $30.

Clarins UV Plus Day Screen SPF 40 is lightweight and sheer. Users rave about the smooth finish and although it retails for $42, it might be just what you need.

Another treatment that Dr. Gross promotes is the combination of ferulic acid and retinol.

These are some brands that provide treatment for acne scars and dark spots.

It takes some time for your skin to clear up but as long as you follow a beauty routine that’s suited for your skin type, then you just might have a chance at saving your skin.
