Get to Know the Zoya Collection

Ever had that experience when you get so attracted to a nail polish color and when you finally buy it, you get disappointed by its result? I know I have! So if you’re planning to buy products from our oya Collection, here’s what The Finishing Bar Staff has to say about them. (Click the titles of each polish to buy them directly in our store)

Zoya Matte Nail Polish | Lolly

The Finishing Bar Staff Review:

Lolly is a lovely way to wear hot pink,  a velvety matte Barbie Pink Nails that I really love.I prefer wearing matte shades alone so I don’t have to use any topcoat. It  dries quickly so I think it’s safe to say that when you leave the bottle open, the product inside will thicken. This type of nail polish (matte) are new to me so I didn’t really know what to expect. I’m not disappointed because I really like the color. I think it is a perfect color for summer! I wouldn’t expect nail polishes like these to last like the regular nail polishes.

Zoya Matte Nail Lolly can be best described as: Bold, saturated medium magenta pink cream with a velvety matte finish.  A very colorful new matte style for perfect stand-out Barbie pink nails.

Zoya Matte Nail Polish | Mitzi

The Finishing Bar Staff Review:

A vibrant acid-green shade. Just staring at the color gives me a sour expression. It is the sourest green I’ve ever seen. Mitzi is more of a solid bright green, with some yellow, as opposed to the bleached luminosity of neon green. Also, whoever concocted this color probably had Shrek as a point of reference. Yes, Mitzi is kind of an ogre green.

This is a bold shade you’d love to wear to the beach. What I like about this specific color is its yellow hue never washes out the fullness of the color, which, conversely, is how neon green glows. So the nail polish stays evergreen all the time. In the dark, don’t expect it to glow though. On my nails the catchy shade really explodes.

Zoya Nail Polish | Alegra

The Finishing Bar Review:

Zoya’s nail lacquer in Alegra is part of their 2010 Sparkle Collection and is now part of their permanent line. Alegra is a fuchsia jelly/glitter hybrid. Zoya polishes are formaldehyde, Dibutyl Phthalate, camphor, and toluene free. Zoya is a cruelty free brand that manufactures their products in the USA. Zoya is a professional brand, meaning you can’t pick these polishes up at any old drugstore. Zoya can be purchased at http://zoya.com/, select salons, spas, and beauty suppliers, as well as a select Ultas. Each .5 fl oz bottle retails for $8. I received Alegra as part of a giveaway prize from TiffanyLacquer.

I love the look and quality of Zoya’s packaging. The bottle is made of thick, sturdy glass, and are in the shape of a rectangle with rounded corners. The black plastic cap is firmly attached to the top of the brush. I really like the shape of the bottle. I think it’s cute, but it definitely looks high-end. Zoya polishes have my second favorite packaging.
Zoya’s brushes are short, and flat with the right amount of flex. Zoya’s brushes are very high quality and don’t splay at all, despite being fairly flexible.

Zoya Nail Polish | Amanda

The Finishing Bar Review:

Website describes as a “sheer pink/beige skintone.”
I have warm coloring, fair skin and this is very flattering. It’s a creamy medium nude and a little darker than I expected, with a pinkish undertone. The stock pic on the futurenatural website looks pinker and lighter on my monitor than it does in real life. Two thin coats and the color looks totally opaque, but the consistency of this polish is thicker so I had a hard time getting a thin coat. This is a very professional, casual, go-with-everything color.

The real pro of this polish is the staying power. I have never gotten a manicure to not chip after 2 days… I am very rough on my nails, and this lasted for a full 5 days. Actually, it didn’t chip at all, it just wore off on the tips a little bit. Nothing short of miraculous.. this is my new everyday polish.

Zoya Nail Polish | America

The Finishing Bar Staff Review:

Zoya Nail Polish in America can be best described as: Bright, bold, medium retro tomato-red creme. This unique red screams retro pin-up girl glamour.  I describe this color as a glamorous tomato soup red, its just so bright and pretty! And its extremely opaque and pigmented, it could be a 1 coater…seriously. I only did 2 because I’m OCD about my nails but 1 coat would have been fine. Some say Zoyas take forever and a day to dry, this one toop a bit longer than my other salon brands but I those dry like instantly, this one took maybe 30-40 mins until I felt it was “undentable” and therefore dry. Which was fine. Anyway, gorgeous color, nice app and cute name. I’d recommend this to anyone who likes red or brights.

This is a bright, true red. My search for the perfect red nail polish is over! It is very opaque and goes on so smoothly. I only use one coat.
