Too much heat cannot only damage your skin or your hair but it can cause damage to your nails too. Try these tips and have the perfect mani and pedi this summer!
Tip #1: Use Cuticle Oil
Cuticle Oil should not be a one time application only but you should use it in the morning, noon and night. This will help your cuticle be hydrated and prevent it from getting dry. Before getting a manicure or a pedicure, apply a cuticle oil first. Yuna Park, a manicurist stated that the reason behind this step is “to avoid imprints that can occur when polish is still sticky”.
Tip #2: Get Polished with a Shocker Shade
You’re nails are the perfect set to experiment colors be it metallics or neons. If you’ve been sporting shades like tan or french tip every now and then, step out of your comfort zone and try something new. Shock everyone with a neon nail polish as it complements the summer tan or the sparkling nail polish that shines like a disco ball in your hands. Whatever you choose, you’re making a statement!
Tip #3: Invest in a Good Polish Remover
Some nail polish removers damage you nails by making it dry and sometimes it leaves ugly white residues. So invest in a good nail polish remover that leaves you nails hydrated and healthy. By simply dipping your nail polish remover to a warm water, this could easily take off hard to erase glitter polishes.
Tip #4: Opt for Gel Manicures while on Vacation
Gel manicures last more than regular polishes. When you’re away from home or from your favorite salon, you don’t have the time to change polish when it becomes chipped or damaged. Gel manicures could last for a good two weeks! What a great bargain when you’re enjoying under the sun.
